Visitors will get to come face-to-face with nearly 60 life-size animatronic and interactive dinosaurs, enjoy dinosaur rides, dinosaur-themed selfie stations, meet and greets with baby dinosaurs, and hands-on fossil dig stations.

Dinosaurs Among Us Sensory-Friendly Mornings is designed for those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences and their families from 8-9 am.

On the second Saturday of each month May-August, families can journey back in time and enjoy an evening at the Zoo from 5-9 pm.

Families will get an up-close look at falcons, macaws, cranes, owls, and more as they fly, call and mimic their interpreter —along with some surprise encounters that make this a do n’t-miss treat!

Families will get to enjoy some of the best local food trucks throughout the entire summer! Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever-changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week. Enjoy live music, local beer, and wine from Trinity Brewhouse, explore Hasbro’s Boundless Playground, or take a carousel ride or hop on the train (additional cost).

During each day of these summer camps, kids will create, from scratch, their own savory dessert dishes!

Hand-made pasta, pierogies, calzones, cakes, donuts, and cookies, just to name a few. Kids gather at the dining room table for a sit-down lunch before they go home.

During Conservation Heroes, campers ages 11-14 will be empowered to become leaders in conservation through teambuilding and leadership activities; engage in inquiry activities, games, and projects; visit animal exhibits, meet animal ambassadors, and explore the outdoors. 

Tadpole Academy is an introduction to ZooCamp.

Kids ages 4-5 will enjoy stories, crafts, games, encounters with wild animal ambassadors, and zoo exploration in safe, small groups. 

During this summer camp, kids will learn how to draw, paint and sculpt animals using shapes with patterns.

They will learn about geography as they travel the world to learn about their various habitats! Campers will explore animals in the wild using paint, clay, and mixed media.

In this tasty camp, kids ages 4-8 will put their culinary creativity to the test as they whip up mouthwatering treats both savory and sweet. Campers will enjoy chocolate recipes from A to Z!

Taste Buds Kitchen’s kids’ cooking camps are the perfect recipe for gaining kitchen confidence, learning essential cooking skills, and making new friends. 

ZooCamp is perfect for budding scientists, zoologists, explorers, artists, and kids that just love animals!

Days are filled with crafts, hands-on and inquiry-driven activities, encounters with wild animal ambassadors, and guided Zoo tours. 

In this full-day camp, artists ages 7-12 years old will have a fun-packed week creating drawings, paintings, and sculptures as they explore a variety of media such as clay, acrylic and watercolor paints, graphite, chalk pastels and oil pastels, recyclable materials, and much more!

During these half-day camps for kids ages 7-12, kids will explore the world of Africa through theatre and art by learning the process of designing costumes, sets, and props which will be used in a final short performance at the end of the theatrical art camp week! 

During this camp, kids ages 7-12 will learn about how different animals from around the world are represented through various forms of art!

Campers will create paper mache animal masks, aboriginal dot turtle paintings, ceramic turtle pots, as well as a ceramic elephant sculpture! 

Sugar Land Holiday Lights is a sparkling wonderland that features more than 3 million lights, a carnival, Santa Claus (until 12/23), a brand new 40 ft. light-up tree, and numerous themed displays!

You can also get holiday shopping done with a number of holiday vendors all while enjoying great food and a dazzling light show!

This camp for kids in 1st – 5th grade includes art-making, mess-making, engineering, sensory play, experiments, design work, and more.

Each day they’ll have the opportunity to explore new techniques, experiment with different tools & materials, and create, create, CREATE!

During Nature Day, kids in K-2, 3-4 Grades will explore a 325-acre outdoor classroom as they hike along trails, investigate life in and around ponds, get eye-to-eye with snakes and salamanders, and much more!

All sessions include hiking, songs, spirited group games, and a trip to Third Beach. 

Kids will get creative with designs and decorations to make beautiful and tasty sweet treats.

From drizzles to piping, sprinkles to fondant, this camp focuses on all things decorating and designs. Kids will bake up rainbow donuts, decorate sugar cookies with homemade royal icing, make fondant from scratch, create a custom mini birthday cake, and more!

During this summer camp, kids in 5 – 8 grades will enjoy a week filled with hiking, team-building activities, nature discovery, crafts, beach activities, and a Wednesday evening campfire.

During Coastal Camp, kids in 2 – 8 grades will have the opportunity to explore tide pools, catch fish, and conduct experiments at the Coastal Education Center at Third Beach.

Coastal Camp is offered to three different age groups in eight one-week sessions. Space is limited, so sign up quickly!

Kids will learn how to use the pottery wheel or brush up on skills from a previous class or camp in this multi-level wheel throwing for kids!

Students will make cups, bowls, and plates and learn basic glazing techniques to decorate their functional creations.

Kids will create a color fabric theme board, and design and draw their collection of clothing with a variety of art media such as graphite, watercolors, and mixed media!

They will experience a fashion show at the end of the classes wearing their own wearable thematic art fashion pieces created from recycled materials.

Start your morning by dining on an alfresco hot breakfast in the heart of the zoo’s Africa region.

Then make your way behind the scenes to meet the keepers that keep many of the animals happy and healthy. There you will go “on exhibit” as you join zookeepers in staging a mixed-species yard for Zebras, Wildebeest, and Watusi Cattle!

Kids will explore a variety of baking techniques from creating the perfect pie crust to drizzling a freshly made glaze.

They will whip up a great line-up of sweet and savory recipes including handmade bread, delicious pies, scrumptious muffins, and cookies.

Kids will enjoy a week of secret codes, invisible ink, stealth training, gadget creation, and brain-building games, all while learning to become a secret agent! If they pass the final test, they earn your secret agent badge!

Children will create paper mache sea creatures and much more as they draw, paint, and sculpt from their imagination!

Kids will work together to paint a paper wall mural, build jellyfish hanging sculptures, and also work with clay to make pinch pot fish – so much Summer Oceanic fun!

Kids will be busy all day with projects including engineering challenges, coding robots, exciting science projects and so much more!

Campers will be provided with a daily snack but they must provide their own peanut-free lunch.

During this camp, kids will learn new skills and create delicious recipes from s’mores brownies around the campfire, orange creamsicle cookies at a poolside picnic, and fresh crepes on a big city tour.

Minecraft® will be brought to life using LEGO® bricks. Kids will create their own world, including animals, creepers, and their very own Minecraft® character.

Young students ages 4-5 will build fun and simple models using DUPLO® blocks.

By playing with and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, wheels, and axles while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. Classes include free-building time to promote creativity!

Bakers will master baking techniques from kneading dough to creaming butter and sugar as they recreate their favorite American recipes.

From cake pops to tie-dye bagels, and good old-fashioned apple pie, each budding chef will become a baking master in the making.

Kids will learn to draw different thematic drawings with oil pastels and paint canvases with acrylic paints!

Color mixing techniques will be explored with both oil pastels and acrylics as they explore thematic subject matter! Campers will draw with oil pastels, make a ceramic project, and paint canvases!!

Students ages 5-12 will engage in concepts from astronomy, earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools.

In this camp for kids ages 6-10, kids will be using STEAM to explore color, sound, gravity, physics, and so much more.

Projects include building a Rube Goldberg machine, slime, making instruments, and so many other fun projects!

Kids will transform the kitchen into a chocolate factory and whip up classic and unique chocolate treats, both savory and sweet.

From white chocolate to dark chocolate, sprinkles to candies, kids will use all of their favorite flavors to create beautiful creations.

My magic show is a comedy show that uses a lot of audience participation, the kids are the stars because they make the magic happen!

Every child who comes on the “stage” to be a helper receives a souvenir!

In this game-focused robotics program, engineers ages 5-12 will explore the basics of robotics while playing some really awesome games with and against their classmates!

Makers Madness STEM Week will be full of “Making”.

Participants will make designs on the 3D printers, Make movies on the green screen, Make Robots move, make creations in the makerspace and so much more!

Kids ages 6-14 years old will blast out of this world into a galaxy of exploration through S.T.E.M!

During Space STEM Camp, kids will use engineering principles and creativity to design tools astronauts can use in space, build a lunar rover to explore the moon, use circuits to construct a device to communicate with mission control, and so much more!
