The Baldwin Loop is a two-mile walking path project initiated by The Empowerment Factory to promote more exercise and community connectedness in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Pawtucket.
The path connects the elementary school with a recreational park, a community center, a senior living center, and a historic mill building filled with innovative new businesses.
The Empowerment Factory is a non-profit organization that offers after-school, summertime learning programs, community and school special events, and activities for K-8 children to give them the skills to be successful in school and lead happier, healthier lives.
The Empowerment Factory’s programs include Art in the Park, which helps kids develop their creativity and literacy; Nature Drawing, focused on environmental education, literacy, and empathy; and Reading Adventures, where children develop their literacy, creativity, kindness, and learn about recycling.
