About Aquidneck Island Robotics (AIR)

Aquidneck Island Robotics (AIR) is the largest youth competitive robotics organization in Rhode Island!

Open for students of public and private schools as well as home-schooled students.
Programs include the FIRST Lego League Explore, FIRST Lego League Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition. Let’s learn more about each one:
FIRST Lego League Explore
For kids in grades 2-3. Here, students dive into research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. They’ll build and program a LEGO robot to tackle missions in a thrilling robot game.

FIRST Lego League Challenge
For students in grades 4-8. Kids will engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game.

FIRST Robotics Competition
Teams of students must work under tight rules and with limited time and resources. They’ll fundraise, engage with their community, enhance teamwork, and construct and program large-scale robots to compete against other teams. It’s an experience that mirrors real-world engineering challenges!
